We are delighted to be able to announce that The Garden at 120 has won the BALI 2019 principal award. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.

120 Fenchurch Street is a mixed-use office development located in the heart of London’s insurance district. The development comprises a seventeen storey building that includes 14 floors of office space from mezzanine to level 13. The roof garden is the first in London to be truly publicly accessible, towering 65 metres above street level. The garden comprises 2.200m² of roof top terrace, with 360 views across the City of London.

Designed with private and public space in mind it has extensive areas of Yorkstone paving allowing ample and easy circulating space. Bespoke concrete planters with integrated timber seating retain the plants and provide space to relax. Traditional timbered concrete walls divide the space and frame the views whilst also providing anchorage for a number of climbers, including Wisteria, which will provide an overhead canopy providing shade and help with zoning the space. Buxus hedges, a large water feature and colourful perennial borders complete the scheme.
