Pre-Construction / Design Manager
Frosts Landscape Construction builds and maintains premier landscaped spaces within central London and the South of England. Working in partnership with top landscape architect practices and main contractors to deliver hard and soft landscape projects of the highest standard winning over 100 BALI awards.
Frosts Landscape Construction became an Employee Owned business in April 2025.

The Job

- Location Opportunities Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London and Cambridgeshire
- Salary Competitive
- Working Hours Permanent, full-time role; Monday to Friday
Key Skills Required
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and standards
- Ability to manage timelines, budgets and resources
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
- Leadership to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of cost planning, design betterment, value engineering, and procurement strategies
- Ability to assess risks and develop mitigation plans
- Analytical thinking to resolve design and logistical challenges early in the project lifecycle
- Proficient in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Proficient in project planning tools (MS Project, Asta Power Project)
- Strong horticultural knowledge
- Good contractual knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
Role Requirements
- Develop preconstruction schedules and budgets
- Facilitate design reviews and value engineering workshops
- Identify design and construction risks early, implementing strategies to mitigate those risks
- Assist in procurement and buying
- Promote sustainable design and construction practices
